Dr. Richard K. Whalen earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine in 1992. Since that time, he has been committed to providing patients with complete comprehensive oral care, having studied at The Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and the Misch International Implant Institute, as well as many others.

Dr. Whalen established Dental Design Studio in 2005 and has been a prominent figure within the dental industry since 1992. He is a member of several renowned Dental Associations as well as local community organizations, including:

When he is not caring for his patients, Dr. Whalen finds his greatest joy in spending time with his two beautiful children, Zoe and Luke. He also spends his free time playing golf and attending live sporting events. Depending on the season you can find him at a Marist Basketball game, cheering on the Yankees, or supporting Notre Dame football, his alma mater.

She is also experienced in managing both routine and complex cases using modern techniques and advanced technology, with an emphasis on biomimetic dentistry and a conservative approach that preserves natural tooth structure and supports long-term durability. 

Dr. Niki earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the NYU College of Dentistry and completed advanced residency training at Mount Sinai. She remains dedicated to continuing education and stays current with the latest advancements in dentistry. This allows her to provide efficient, minimally invasive, and long-lasting treatment solutions.
